During the 31 Days of Denton Halloween, you can find everything from murals and sculptures to handmade merchandise and interactive art experiences, all made by local artists. We have paid and volunteer opportunities for everyone! Whether you are an experienced creative looking to bring a large, funded idea to life, a market vendor looking for opportunities, a community member wanting to participate in fun creative activities, or looking for artistic volunteer opportunities.

2025 - DAN BLACK

Dan has been creating art in Denton for over 15 years and feels proud to call it home. His work has included public murals, sculpture and construction installations for businesses and individuals all over the US.

2025 - CLAIRE MORALES

Claire Morales is a graphic designer, visual artist and musician from Denton, TX. Through her work, Morales seeks to delight the viewer by taking them to vibrant, colorful, and unexpected new worlds. She believes that spreading joy is a very serious business, aiming to lift others up with her cute, dreamy, technicolor style. Her work is inspired by her love of fruit, a childhood obsession with Sailor Moon, and growing up a Lisa Frank kid in the 90s. This year, Claire made a limited line of halloween merchandise which can be purchased at Discover Denton!

2024 - WALLY

Bryan Michael Walior is an award-winning set decorator, creative producer, writer, musician, and lifelong storyteller with deep roots in Denton, Texas. With more than 25 years in the film and television industry, his work has spanned feature films, television, commercials, live events, and immersive experiences, always blending practical craftsmanship with cinematic world-building.

Wally is the creator of The Haunted Hotline, the interactive art installation that debuted during the inaugural 31 Days of Denton Halloween celebration. Combining haunted phone booths, original characters, cinematic storytelling, and interactive clues scattered throughout the historic downtown square, the installation invited thousands of participants to become part of the story. Its blend of practical effects, nostalgia, humor, and horror helped establish the immersive, story-driven atmosphere that has become a defining part of Denton's Halloween celebration.

Whether designing film sets, building interactive installations, or dreaming up strange new worlds, Wally's work is driven by one goal: creating experiences that make people feel like they've stepped inside a movie.

Denton Halloween now has a process for anyone to submit an idea for funding. Approved projects will be chosen by our Halloween Executive Committee. You can learn more about the program here.
By signing up as a city of Denton vendor via the link below, you will receive information regarding creative projects the city is looking to receive bids on. This opportunity extends beyond Halloween and includes all public art projects. Please follow the instructions below when signing up.

The Scary Chairy Orchard brings the city's beloved art park, The Chairy Orchard, back to life. Show off your creative talent by decorating a chair to display at Denton City Hall all month long. More information is available here.
The city of Denton has a number of galleries, creative spaces, arts organizations, boutique shops, venues, and more that offer a variety of opportunities for creatives. You can find a list of some of these spaces here.
Got a wild idea for Denton Halloween? We want to hear it.

The City of Denton has opened a formal pitch process inviting creatives of all kinds to submit their ideas to the Denton Halloween Executive Team for review. Selected projects are funded by the city, with the goal of giving DFW's most imaginative minds the opportunity to see their ideas come to life right here in downtown Denton. From events and experiences to art installations and everything in between, no idea is too out there.
